Works well with the hardware and once I realised I was switching the light on and off too quickly I was able to easily enter pairing mode. . Lots of things I like e.g. scheduling my light to come on just before I get up. However the biggest gripe I have is specifically to do with the lack of features in the software (hence the 3 stars) if there was an ability to set colour changes in the tap to run menu or being able to have different colours on different bulbs when you click a scene for a group

Application is easy to set up and link to the bulbs. Issue I am having is, I have 4 light bulbs and all in the same room. I created a group and put all the bulbs in to it. However, when I try to set any new triggers to add to the widget such as switch all on or off, I have to set up each bulb individually. So that is go in to the bulb, set up the trigger, on/off option, colour temp, brightness and timing, then repeat for every bulb. The colour and temp setting is just a slider bar so not too helpful if I want to set a colour scene up. I tried going in to each bulb on the home page where it actually has a good scene selector, but this is only for a schedule, not to add to a trigger for just on and off (not timed) and again, you can only set one bulb at a time. Has anyone been able to add several bulbs in to one group and be able to select a scene once that applies to all bulbs in the group? One good thing I noticed. I am on Virgin internet and my hub just has one connection to join, which is both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, so the app did play up. I created a new internet group on hub, 2.4Ghz only, then both the app and bulbs all connected easily. I deleted the 2.4Ghz only group on the hub and the app still works perfectly fine running on either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, dependent on signal and how far from hub I am.

Probably the worst way of connecting to Amazon Alexa. The registration is not valid when using Alexa Skill which is required for working in a smart home environment. If you live alone and only have this for light in the outback with only solar power and a battery this may work for you, otherwise throw it in the bin!!!! It is truly a waste of money!!

Absolute rubbish the bulbs set up is a joke, and it doesn't take long before 1 out of the 4 I bought lose connection. And then after that it rotates as to which one loses it next it's like a pick n mix game, for the price I paid for the 4xGU10 bulbs it's a joke and I've sent them back and got Philips GU10 Bluetooth ones that work with the Alexa app so no need for a hub or another app except Alexa
